Nevins Clay Ware
	Nevins Clay Ware, age 89, of Pinckneyville, died on Thursday, May 12, 2005 at 6:12 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
	Nevins was born on January 24, 1916 in Bowling Green, Mo., a son to William Paul and Ruby Ethel (Dougherty) Ware.  He married Gertrude V. Gray in Bowling Green, Mo. on November 24, 1946 and she survives.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville and served as a Deacon there since 1949.  He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II.
He managed the former P&H Hirch Store in Pinckneyville for 40 years.  He was an artist who worked with oil and acrylic paints, painted landscape and building portraits, especially of Pinckneyville and received numerous awards.  He taught art at Rend Lake College, Ina, and John A. Logan College, Caterville.  He was a very loving husband and father. 
	Survivors include his wife: Gertrude of Pinckneyville, and one son: William Clay 'Bill' and Sue Ware of Lake Zurich, Ill.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother: Paul Durward Ware.
	Funeral Services will be held in the First Baptist Church, Pinckneyville on Monday, May 16, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Hatley and Reverend Charles Boling officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Bowling Green, Mo.
	Friends may call at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home, Pinckneyville on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m., then at the First Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
	Memorial may be made to Mary Kuykendahl Carpenter Heart Fund.
